Nestled on a stunning 2-acre waterfront property with over 200 feet of shoreline, The Hook’s Cottage presented one of our favourite challenges: a steep, rugged grade that most crews would have walked away from. Thanks to our full lineup of a variety of equipment and our skilled operator, we were able to work safely from the water’s edge all the way to the cottage and to the road.

We started by clearing some of the property and graded the entire site into inviting, usable levels, creating a cozy fire-pit gathering area, easy access to the bunkie deck, and ATV-friendly trails that loop around the cottage and connect everything to the new reclaimed-asphalt driveway.

We then removed the old wooden steps from the dock to the cottage and replaced them with beautiful, hand-placed granite steps assisted by our specialized equipment. We paired that with flagstone walkways that now wind naturally through the landscape.

Up at the road we cleared brush and trees to build multi-level parking for five cars and five ATVs, plus plenty of room for boat and ATV trailer storage. The entire project—design through to final walkthrough—was completed on time and on budget in just a couple of weeks. The Hook family is thrilled with their transformed space, saved a considerable amount compared to other quotes in the area, and has already referred several new clients our way.
